There are a number of ways you can volunteer at Mally’s

1. Transport

Mally's gets calls about injured raccoons from all over Ontario, and we often arrange transport chains to limit the amount a single person has to drive.

If you are able to drive contained animals to our facility, or complete a portion of these transport chains, we need you!

Volunteer drivers operate based on their availability, when a rescue is happening and a driver is needed we will contact volunteers in the area.

  • Pick up or drop off animals, usually at short notice

  • Transporting sick, injured or orphaned animals

  • Releasing rehabilitated animals to designated locations

  • Must be 19 years of age or older

  • Must have access to a vehicle and have a full Ontario G license

  • Must have a cell phone with access to the internet (Google Maps)

Please Note:
Mally's does not assume any liability for damage to your vehicle or tickets received during transport; We do not provide for fuel, maintenance, or insurance costs. Drivers are responsible for ensuring the validity of their G class license and insurance coverage.

2. At the Clinic

The care of our orphaned, sick and injured wildlife is a full-time operation. While our trained staff will administer all medications, volunteers at the clinic can assist in preparing food and water, regular cleaning tasks, and providing enrichment items to our animals.

Animals in our care are at various stages of recovery. Safeguards such as latex gloves are provided on-site, but we cannot guarantee entirely risk-free interaction.
